Westchester Youth Economics is an independent student-built project at the intersection of economics, technology, data literacy, and service.
Economics felt most real when the numbers had an address.
Rent, home prices, commuting, college debt, inflation, and job access are not abstract chapters. They shape choices students and families make every day.
WYE was created to turn public data into understandable tools—and then push one step further: ask who benefits, who struggles, and what better questions the data allows us to ask.
Truth before polish.

Build tools people could actually use, not just pages that look impressive.

Westchester Youth Economics is not affiliated with Villanova University, UNICEF, the U.S. Census Bureau, BLS, NYS DOL, or the United Nations. Public source frameworks may inspire questions, but WYE’s analysis and educational tools are its own.
