Policy Lab

Policy scenario laboratory

A transparent classroom simulator for thinking through housing supply, transit access, and wage floors. The outputs are directional teaching indices—not forecasts.

Scenario levers

Housing supply expansion
15%
Transit access/spending increase
20%
Minimum wage scenario
$17
This lab intentionally exposes its assumptions. It is a concept tool, not an empirical prediction engine.

Directional outputs

Rent-pressure index
Access index
Wage-support index

The point is not to “win” the simulator.

Policy creates tradeoffs, behavioral responses, distributional effects, and implementation constraints. A serious economic argument states its assumptions and identifies what evidence would change the conclusion.
